Schedule / Terms of Employment: 12-hour shifts, (7 days on / 7 days off) 2x 30-minute breaks per shift
Conuma is a leading Canadian producer and exporter of metallurgical coal for the global steel industry. In 2016, Conuma acquired Walter Energy’s Canadian assets, which consisted of three metallurgical coal mines in northeast British Columbia. These mines now make up the company’s Canadian operations. With ready access to both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, Conuma is able to serve customers in South America, Europe and Asia.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare shipping documents
- Discrepancy reporting
- Conduct material handling
- Demonstrate excellent customer-service skills
Qualifications and Experience
- High-school diploma
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- Warehousing ticket an asset
Skills and Abilities
- Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred
- Physically capable of lifting 60 pounds
- Excellent people skills;
- Proven ability to work safely and achieve operational targets;
- Analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Good computer skills
Work Environment / Conditions
May need to work outside in harsh weather conditions. The candidate must be capable of lifting heavy objects.
